Weddings Need to Know
It is necessary to spend at least two (2) full working days in St. Lucia prior to the wedding date. The actual wedding could be on the third or fourth day of stay. A fast track appliation can be processed quicker with a surcharge fee.
Requirements:
- Passport and Birth Certificates of the Bride and Groom.
- Decree Absolute (if one of the parties is divorced).
- In the case of a widow/widower, a Death Certificate is required.
- If name has been changed, a Deed Poll is required.
- If one of the parties is under the age of 18, evidence of a parental consent is required in the form of a sworn affidavit.
- If any of the required documents are not in English, an authenticated translation must be available.
The above documents in addition to a Wedding Form, which is obtained from La Haut should be faxed at least one month prior to the wedding.
All documents must be brought in their original form.
The legal documents must be signed by the Bride and Groom in St. Lucia in presence of a Justice of the Peace or a Lawyer, which La Haut can arrange. |
